Technology at Universal Studios

This past weekend I was in Orlando and made a stop into universal studios. I was impressed at all the advancements they had in technology since the last time I had been there. THe rides were great and one stands out in particular. There was a SPiderMan ride that used visuals and glasses to make a virtual experience. I thought it was very cool and creative how they made it all come together. Also, all the lockers around inversal now were opened with a fingerprint instead of a code. I thought that was pretty neat as well.

Apple Fighting Battles in Court

Apple is in a courtroom battle on two fronts overseas. In Europe, Apple Corp is suing for trademark violations. They are contending that the computer Apple brand has no infringed on a 1991 agreement not to enter the music industry. Also, France is trying a case that says that Apple is violating antitrust laws enacted by the european union. Apple has said it might just remove its product from France as the French market makes up only two percent of Apple customers. I think that Apple will end up being alright financially when everything is said and done. They will hire excellent lawyers and move on.

Net Presence A Must

I am in the process of interviewing for jobs out of college. It seems that companies with nice website instantly gain more credibility to me as job prospects. The way a company can express itself on the web makes a huge difference. When I see a nice clean website I immediatley make a subconcious positive association with the company. It does not matter what they are selling or how strong the company actually is, at first glance I just feel good about the company. I think it is imperative that companies create internet sites that paint the most positive picture for that company if they hope to stand a chance at success in the future.

High Definition Pictures

Samsung has a new digital camera that can now display high def photos. Unlike a normal high mega pixel camera, this onei s specifically designed to show all your imperfections in crystal clear high def. I think that camera technology is going to get better and better and soon enough even the most elementary camera in the future will be comparable to the $1,000 digital cameras of the past. We are in an exciting time for digital cameras as online sites such as facebook and webshots are posting so many pictures on a daily basis.

Online Gambling

There are so many sites that are doing online gambling now. Businesses are using the internet and basing their gambling sites out of nations where gambling is allowed. Without the ease of connection the internet provides, it is likely that the gaming sites would not be allowed to be based out of the U.S. Each site tries to make sounds and the look of the gambling feel like you are in a regular casino. This is a multibillion dollar a year industry and I don't see it slowing down any time soon.

Fabulous 4th Post

I want to talk about ipods again. It is crazy to see so many accesories for the thing. Go to the gym and everyone has an armband with an ipod in it. The other day I saw a belt buckle designed for the ipod. I suppose that the only limit is creativity. Here is the latest thing ive seen, a purse with ipod speakers and holder. Pretty cool I guess, but who really needs it? http://www.techgadgetforums.com/files/new_ipod_bag.jpg
